Narcissus ‘Thalia’ is an elegant and fragrant variety of daffodil, known for its pure white, graceful flowers. Often referred to as an “angel’s tear” daffodil, ‘Thalia’ typically produces two to three blooms per stem, with slightly nodding, star-shaped flowers. The petals are slender and pointed, surrounding a small, delicate cup, creating a refined and airy appearance.
This variety grows to about 30-40 cm (12-16 inches) in height and has a light, sweet fragrance. It is part of the Triandrus group, known for its multi-flowering stems and more delicate, pendant-like blooms. ‘Thalia’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
Blooming in mid to late spring, Narcissus ‘Thalia’ is versatile and works beautifully in borders, woodland gardens, and naturalised areas. Its all-white blooms lend a sense of purity and timelessness, making it a popular choice for adding elegance to gardens or floral arrangements. Like most daffodils, it is deer-resistant and easy to care for.
